THE INDIA Habitat Centre (IHC) will hold the IHC Indian Languages Festival 'Samanvay' from November 2 to November 4. The theme of the festival will be Boli Bani Bhasha: Gaon Kasba Shehar. Leading authors, critics, and poets will come together for this one-of-its kind festival, which has already carved a pioneering niche for itself in the burgeoning field of literary festivals.
The language festival will conclude each evening with cultural performances in sync with the literary sessions of the day. Thus, there will be a Ugana Re – a recital on Maithili poet Vidyapati’s compositions by Kathak Guru Shovana Narayan, Kashmiri Sufiana Kalam by Gulzar Ahmad Ganie and Acoustic solo performance by singer Rabbi Shergill.
The event will witness the presence of eminent speakers including theatre personality Ratan Thiyam and journalist, lyricist and script writer Neelesh Mishra along with Chandrashekhara Kambar, Kashinath Singh, Alok Rai and Gurvinder Singh. The festival will be held in the Amphitheatre of the India Habitat Center.
