THE INDIAN Institute of Aeronautical Engineering and Information Technology, (IIAEIT) had recently sent one of its well-deserved faculty member and coordinator, Leena Bokil for a seven-day visit to the NASA for training in aeronautical engineering.
Bokil proved her worth, while she was there and has now returned with a title of a brand ambassador of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). NASA has given her added knowledge and awareness in the field of space and aeronautics, which has eventually given her the ability to share the same with the students in this country. Her visit to the NASA was because she participated in a Space camp for teachers at the NASA’s Marshall centre. Due to her several years of teaching at the IIAEIT, she got this opportunity and says, “IIAEIT has acted as a catalyst to accomplish my ultimate goal.”
At NASA, Bokil understood the advanced technologies that have been introduced in aeronautical engineering and various other aviation technologies. The understanding she absorbed there, she wishes to spread the same here in India. Bokil as a child has always been interested in all sort of flying machines, aircrafts, and rockets. She worked hard to make her passion her career. She is an electronic engineer by qualification and has been teaching aeronautical engineering at IIAEIT for several years. This in turn keeps her in touch with the advances taking place in aeronautics. The elated Bokil, Faculty member and co-ordinator IIAEIT said, “NASA’s Space Camp for Teachers has been a rich experience for me. It’s been IIAEIT’s mission to promote awareness in aeronautical engineering and educate the young generation. Our aim is to inspire, encourage, create and innovate teaching techniques and methodology in the various areas of aviation technology.” About IIAEIT The Indian Institute for Aeronautical Engineering and Information Technology an initiative by Anshul Sharma was established in 2001 at NDA Road, Warje Malwadi, Pune. The Institute provides education in various branches of engineering. IIAEIT is Pune’s premier training Institute in Aeronautical Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science and IT. The composition of IIAEIT Group is as follows: Indian Institute for Aeronautical Engineering and Information Technology (IIAEIT) Wingsss College of Aviation Technology (WCAT) Wingsss Aviation an Hospitality (WAH) Prestige College of Management and Technology (PCMT) ASMA Institute of Management (AIM) Prestige Public School (PPS)
