IIFA 2015 Inaugural session: Anupam Kher talks about his acting school, his bankruptcy and why he hates the term 'Bollywood'
Anupam Kher is a self made man and as many self made men would say that they have seen many ups and downs in their lifetime, Anupam Kher says the same. He recently opened up to a phase of his life where he had hit rock bottom and was desperate and which eventually led him to the initiation of his acting school ' Actor Prepares.'

While addressing the the IIFA 2015's Inaugural session "Business Forum", held in Malaysia, he talked about the inception of the school and how he was bankrupt all those 11 years back. He also talked about the humble beginnings of the school and requested the Malaysian government to build an acting school in the country.

As was reported by firstpost.com, he said, ''I failed in all other aspects of filmmaking and was completely bankrupt because my dreams were higher than realities. So, I started my acting school in a small room with 12 students to prepare future actors and actresses. I will request Malaysian government also to build an acting school here.''

The 61 year old actor who has immortalized roles such as Saransh, Daddy and Maine Gandhi Ko Nai Maara credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to have made Indian cinema popular. His body of work also includes International projects such as Bend It Like Beckham, Silver Linnings Playbook and the Mistress of Spices.

Talking about the coinage of the word 'Bollywood,' he said, '' I hate to use Bollywood. We have coined a word similar to Hollywood. Our industry is Hindi film industry and it has the potential to take over any industry in next 10 years because of the infrastructure and corporates pitching in.''

The sixteenth IIFA awards is all ready to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and all the wonderful films in 2014 would be honoured at the occasion.
