IIPM has gained in this year's ranking
Like last year, the top rankers in Industry interface and Placement have been the three IIMs - A, B and C - in that order. However, IIM - Calcutta improved its infrastructure and pushed back IIM - Bangalore this year.

WHILE IIM -Ahmedabad retains its place at the top spot, followed by IIM-Bangalore and IIM-Calcutta, IIM-Lucknow has been left behind by both XLRI and IIPM in the overall rankings.
 
IIPM has gained in this year’s ranking, coming up from number 7 last year to the 5th position this year in the overall rankings.
 
Like last year, the top rankers in Industry interface and Placement have been the three IIMs - A, B and C - in that order. However, IIM - Calcutta improved its infrastructure and pushed back IIM - Bangalore this year. In Global exposure IIPM and FMS - Delhi ruled again this year. Second and third ranking IIM - Ahmedabad and Bangalore exchanged places.
 
The survey was done after interviewing faculty members from different B-schools, recruiters, students, and young professionals. They were asked to rate the schools over a range of parameters covering overall placements, global placements, international internships, global faculty, student exchange programs, industry interface, faculty – both in-house and visiting, course contents, research and publications and infrastructure.
