IIT-Kharagpur comes up with "AmbuSens" - Technology that helps remote monitor patients
IIT-Kharagpur has come up with a life saving innovation of patient care. This technology, which can be easily fitted into an ambulance, enables remote monitoring of the health condition of the patient by the doctors even before he or she reaches the hospital physically.

This technology named "AmbuSens" has been developed by the Department of computer science and engineering IIT-Kharagpur. The SWAN labs under the Department of computer science  and engineering Kharagpur has come up with this work of innovation.

The AmbuSens tech is capable of wireless monitoring of various physiological parameters like ECG, heart-rate, temperature and blood-pressure. It utilizes a unique mechanism in which the patient's data's confidentiality is maintained while simultaneously using analytics and computing power of cloud computing. It is really a thing to be proud of because patient care is one of those fields in our country's healthcare system in which we are lagging far behind.

Recently, the Goa government also leaped forward in patient healthcare by providing some of these facilities in the ambulance itself, wherein the patient's blood samples can be checked and analyzed for multiple diagnoses.

This is just the beginning, and in future, it is said that this technology might even be able to work on poor internet connections.
