IMA goes overboard by demanding apology from Aamir Khan
It is simply bewildering that the Indian Medical Association is demanding Aamir Khan's apology for..

AAMIR KHAN'S Satyamev Jayate was going smoothly as he was treading the black and white areas but when he went over the grey area with his episode focusing on faulty medical system in India, he had to bear the brunt.

Doctors blame that Aamir portrayed only the negative side of a very noble profession and demanded for an apology but Khan is not ready to buckle under pressure. On Wednesday, the perfectionist said that he will not apologize to the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and that he has no qualms if the IMA decides to take legal action against him.

Real hue and cry from the medico fraternity was heard after the fourth episode (May 27) of Stayamev Jayate as Khan unveiled a face of the medical fraternity most of us are aware of but no one really thought about. With cases supporting his allegations, the actor showed the callous practices behind the masked faces and how doctors are taking their profession and turning it into a money churning machine. To which, many asked if other people are allowed to do that then why aren't we allowed to make money?!

The IMA, as reported in, have asked Khan to immediately apologize, failing which he would be legally penalized. IMA Secretary General Dr D R Rai said, “Aamir Khan should apologize for having defamed and given one side of the story on medical profession. If he does not we are contemplating to take legal action against him for defaming and demoralizing the medical profession in his TV show.” Aamir Khan said that he didn't defame anyone. On the contrary 'if they have been feeling this way then it is because of people who are indulging in unethical practices'. He also said that he has received various letters from doctors who have felt that Aamir has done a good job and that unethical practices should not be a part of a profession that is placed next to God's job.
