President Barack Obama reiterated the commitment of the United States to fight al-Qaida and other terror groups that continue to threaten his country. Obama was paying homage to those killed in the 9/11 attacks at the Pentagon on Friday.
PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA placed a wreath at the Pentagon in memory of the victims of 9/11 on the eighth anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks in United States on Friday (September 11). At the Pentagon 184 people had died in the gruesome attack, which shook America and the world.
On this occasion, President Obama vowed to hotly pursue al-Qaida and its allies and said, “Let us renew our resolve against those, who perpetrated this barbaric act and who plot against us still. In defense of our nation, we will never waver." Obama held that the day was dedicated to the nation's renewal of a common purpose and that was to fight terror in all forms.
After the ceremony, the president and first lady Michelle Obama, met the families of the victims of Pentagon attack. Over 500 people attended the Pentagon ceremony, both from the families of the victims and survivors of the Pentagon attack.
