In Mathura a senior SP leader harasses a junior member in police station; Kamal Farooqui calls UP police helpless and weak
In a shocking incident of inhumane behaviour and harassment that took place today in the morning in UP's Mathura district, Pawan Yadav, Samajwadi Party's (SP) district president forced a junior leader Mahendra Chouhan from his own party to do sit-ups and hit himself with his own shoes. This all happened in a police outpost in the presence of outpost in-charge and other constables deployed there.

Embarrassed over the incident, the UP Govt. has suspended the entire police personnel, including the outpost in-charge Chhote Lal Yadav, deployed at the Banke Bihari police outpost.

When we contacted SP's national secretary Rajesh Dixit to know his party's views over the shameful incident, he said that he was not aware of the incident.

“I am totally unaware of this incident, I don't have the knowledge of any such incident. Until I get to know the whole story how can I comment on someone or something,” said Rajesh Dixit.

Samajwadi Party leader Kamal Farooqui while reacting over the incident said that the Uttar Pradesh police has become weak and helpless.

Farooqui said, “I strongly condemn if any such incident has actually happened. This incident shows the weakness of the UP police. It shows the helplessness of the police in the state. Such incident should have not taken place.”

Samajwadi Party's Mathura district president Pawan Yadav was not happy with his party colleague and Corporator Mahendra Chouhan, as the latter had helped a woman in filing a complain of sexual assualt with police. The henchmen of Yadav caught Chouhan and brought him to the police station where after the sit-ups Chouhan was also made to plead for forgiveness.

Someone from the police or from the group of Yadav's henchmen captured the entire incident on his mobile camera and leaked it to media. Samajwadi Party's senior leader Ram Gopal Yadav has said that strict action will be taken against the errant leader as well as the entire police force in whose presence the incident took place.

Reports say that after the incident came into media, two police teams have been formed to nab Pawan Yadav and his henchmen, who have gone underground.
