People kill somebody who did something which was not good by according to so called religious rules. A person is sent to his grave because he married somebody outside his caste. A person walked in the temple despite being an untouchable is beaten up worse than a criminal. These are not criminals of law, these are criminals by religion, people say. But what they forget is that no God will ever say, ‘Go kill that person because he doesn’t worship me’. People fail to interpret what is written down in holy books and the price is paid by mostly the poor and the lower-caste.

India has been independent from any foreign rule for 63 years now, and still we are all tied in the chains put forth by people in the name of religion and God. I really can’t imagine how God must be feeling sitting up in Heaven, and watching his own creations killing each other and then saying this was what God wanted.

There are many examples of religious killings such as honour killings. Honour killing is killing a person who marries with people of other tribe, clan, caste or religion or with the people of the same gender. In the television series of ‘Friends’, there was a statement that “Nothing makes God happier than when two people come together in love and holy matrimony”. So why don’t we let that happen. Why is a person killed if he loves someone of a different caste? Citing the example of the movie “khuda kay liye”, it was a clear instance of the misuse of God’s name and religion.

Now, parents say to their children that don’t marry someone outside your caste because it isn’t good. If we let what is happening happen, parents will say, don’t marry someone outside your caste or they will kill you.

Scientifically and medically proven facts say that every clan or tribe has e few genetic mutations and when these mutations breed among themselves, bigger and complex diseases may arise. It is a medically established fact that marrying someone from a different caste or clan always results in a healthier baby.

What exactly does our next generation need? A healthier life or hoax calls in the name of God…..
