Independence Day celebration at Epicenter, Gurgaon
On the eve of Independence Day, a flag hoisting ceremony took place at Epicenter, Gurgaon. People from various neighbouring areas such as Delhi, Noida, Faridabad also came to the venue, where kite flying, street food, puppet shows and a cultural extravaganza by prince dance Academy in Gurgaon.
The day started with the traditional flag hoisting ceremony, which was followed by the National patriotic Project "Come India
Sing Jana Gana Mana" by Lorraine music academy & LAMP Trust at 11am. People had come over with their families, who enjoyed the kite flying with Bhai Miyan (Limca Book of records holder), who had tied 150 kites on a single string.
Various street foods were in the offering such as jalebis , Kulfi , Eag- Chicken ?Cheese parathas, Chhole ? Bhatore,Vada- Paav, Dosa ,Namkeen Thela, Ram Laddoo, Banta, Bhuta, Budhiya ke Baal, Nariyal paani etc. Women applied Mehandi on their hands as well.
Meanwhile Prince Dance Group (winner of 'India got talent') came up with some outstanding performances and made people rock and roll. Jeeveshu Ahluwalia, a well known comedian entertained the audience with his jokes.
Many enjoyed the famous Rajasthani puppet show. Especially Kacchi Ghodi, Bioscope, Katputli Dancing, Dogman, Magic Show and walking on the rope was what captivated the kids.
