India aims at wrapping up series with a win in the third ODI
The Indian team is all set to clinch the ODI series if they win the third ODI at Vivian Richards cricket ground. They have already taken a 2-0 lead in the series. The Indians have looked a far..
THE YOUNG look Indian team has already taken a 2-0 lead in the best of 5 ODI series. They are just a victory away from clinching the series in the Caribbean Islands.  All eyes are on Vivian Richards cricket ground where the third ODI is set to be played.

In the previous two ODI matches, Indians have been ahead of the West Indies game plan and looked a more settled unit. The fresh legs in the Indian team have a thing or two to prove to the Indian selectors, and they are doing so in the correct manner by playing good cricket. Players such as Badrinath, S. Dhawan, Mishra, have performed well to be noticed by the Indian selectors.

Regular members of the team such as Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Praveen Kumar, and Munaf Patel have shown their class in the matches they played so far. They are the so-called seniors in the current squad. Parthiv Patel has been the most disappointing behind the wickets. It is time for him to perform with the gloves. Else, Wriddhiman Saha is waiting in the wings to replace him in the ODI series. It is Patel’s batting, which edges out Saha.

The West Indies side has made some changes in the side that will be playing India in the third ODI. Kemar Roach has been brought in, which would give them some stability in their wayward looking bowling line up. Though, the pitch is expected to be on the slower side, he would wake up some of the Indian batsmen with his pace of above 145 km per hour.

There was wide speculation about Chris Gayle’s return to the West Indies side for the remainder of the series. It remains a mystery as the best player of IPL 4 was not even considered to be a member of the West Indies side. Dwayne Bravo and Ravi Rampaul have been rested for the match.

Darren Sammy wants his team to fight until the final ball is bowled as the West Indies team has looked down in all the three departments of the game, bowling, batting and fielding. It is time for them to buckle up their seats if they would want to remain alive in the series. A loss here would mean the ODI series would belong to India.

Suresh Raina has led the side very well in both the ODI matches where they have turned triumphant. He has juggled the bowlers very well when the West Indies team had the upper hand as seen during the second ODI. He brought in Amit Mishra, which rattled the West Indian batsmen and fell to his terrific bowling. Raina would want to go for a kill and wrap up the series with a convincing win.
