India eye a series whitewash against England
After thrashing England in the bilateral series in England after 24 years, the resurgent Indian team will clash with clueless England once again in the 5th and the final ODI at Leeds. It is surprisingly to note that it was the same team, which lost to England in the Test series. Maybe, it is the change of format, which has got the best out of the Indian players.

Their concerns in the Test matches have suddenly transformed into strengths in the ODIs. Their opening woes seems to be resolved with Shikhar Dhawan finally proving his usefulness in the team. Also Ajinkya Rahane has been successful in taking the major batting load on his small shoulders. Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayadu have made the most of the opportunities provided.

The spin department consisting of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja with a bit of help from Suresh Raina have suppressed the English batsmen in middle overs. Mohammed Shami looks like a different bowler with the white ball in his hand. Umesh Yadav, Karn Sharma and Sanju Samson might be given a chance with the series already in the bag.

All key players performing at the right time has come as a blessing in disguise for the Indian team shaping well to defend their World Cup title, which takes place early next year.

England on the other side, have heaps of issues to worry about. Alex Hales has looked promising but has failed to make big contributions. Gary Ballance is yet to make his mark in the format and absence of the experienced Ian Bell make the line-up look very ordinary. Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler have failed to live up to hard-hitting tag. James Anderson hasn't been able to work his magic around anymore. Moeen Ali showed resistance in the previous game but opting him for James Tredwell didn't do any good for an already struggling bowling attack. Indians are eyeing a series whitewash by winning the last ODI, while England has nothing but pride to play for.

England: Alastair Cook, Alex Hales, Eoin Morgan, Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Jos Buttler, Chris Jordan, Chris Woakes, Harry Gurney, James Anderson, James Tredwell, Steven Finn

India: Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Stuart Binny, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni, Sanju Samson, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Dhawal Kulkarni, Karn Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Mohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav
