INDIA HAS finally concluded the 3G technology auction. Although the temporary results are out, but no bidder has walked away with the full national license of the ‘exclusive’ service provider. On the contrary operators such as Tata and Idea went for the middle batch of licenses.

With the launch of new technology, the Indian government will be going to earn  revenue of Rs 67718.95 crores. With India shining globally in all spheres, many are still unaware how this 3G technology is going to change their lives forever.

3G, popularly known as, the ‘third generation of wireless technology’ is already a trendy means of communication abroad. 3G is nothing but augmentated or modified version of previous technologies like high-speed data transmission, advanced multimedia access and universal roaming. 3G has made it possible to download or upload data or to browse internet from anywhere by means of mobile phone connected through internet or any IP network. With the introduction of 3G in India, you are going to be benefitted in many ways.

The list goes as:
· Faster internet speed.
· Improved audio and video streaming.
· Superior video conferencing facility.
· Faster web browsing.
· IPTV support.

3G technology will revamp your phone to technology enabled smart phone with its superb multimedia features. One of the finest examples of the mobile phone that facilitates this technology is iPhone. Since 3G enabled phones facilitates video conferencing, so it needs to have two cameras.

Now you can become stylish by means of this service, although, it is not very cheap, but it is still a worthwhile option for those you want to browse internet while on go. The technology will offer the fastest broadcasting facility with a minimum speed of 2 Mbps and maximum speed of 14.4 Mbps which means that to download a 3-minute MP3 song; it will take only 15 seconds. But when compared to a 2G phone, whose broadcasting speed facilitates downloading a song in about 8minutes, this gift is surely a valuable option.

3G is not going to affect only the media and entertainment industry, but surely business sector is also looking forward to some positive results. Video conferencing remains its chief feature that is the star attraction for its users in India. 3G will also enable to meet your bosses virtually and discuss the ongoing projects without wasting quality time and resources, from any place. Telephonic interviews can be taken in more modernized form, without any hassles.

But to enjoy the service of this smart technology, you have to shell out extra money from your pockets as it is limited to only few phones. As said in a popular saying “Every technology has its pros and cons”, similarly 3G too, has its weak and strong points. It all depends on the user how to execute it in a more affordable manner.
