MPs from Arunachal Pradesh have also criticised the Chinese assertions on the PM's visit to the state. They described it as a blasphemy on the part of China, stating that the country has no role to play in the state.
SLAMMING CHINA for its comment over Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Arunachal Pradesh, Union Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee reiterated that the state is an integral part of India and it is the legitimate right of Indians to go and campaign there.
The finance minister dismissed the Chinese objections saying that it was nothing new, while reacting to a statement issued by Chinese foreign ministry. A spokesman had said that China was dissatisfied with the visit of Indian leader in the disputed region.
Meanwhile, MPs from Arunachal Pradesh have also criticised the Chinese assertions on the PM's visit to the state. They described it as a blasphemy on the part of China to raise objections on this matter, stating that the country has no role to play in the state and it should refrain from interfering in the internal affairs of India.
It is pertinent to mention that China claims that the entire Arunachal Pradesh belongs to it. Earlier, Chinese authorities had opposed the visit of Dalai Lama to the frontier state, which share a large portion of its border with China.
