TOURISM IS one of the most important industries in India and there are various attractive sites that one might want to visit while in India. The Taj Mahal, for example, is one of the leading tourist destinations in India.

Music is another important aspect of Indian tourism and is also one of the chief grounds why someone would book a flight to India. The music in India amalgamates a wide range of regional styles and ethnic traditions. For example, the North Indian Hindustani and the South Indian Carnatic traditions unite together to form the classical music styles that one will most often listen to in India. On the other hand, there is also film, folk and popular music.

Dance is one more important feature of tourism. Here too, there is a wide range of distinct traditions and styles, similar to the way that music is portrayed. The literature of India is another very important characteristic of tourism and there are many diverse cultural festivals that revolve around singing, dancing and the great writers of the area.

History

Another motive why a person would want to come to India is to look at its various historical sites. For example, the Amba Vials Palace at Mysore is one of the chief centers of fine arts in India. Another place in India that is visited frequently by tourists and backpackers is Bollywood. It is a principal site of film history. Films have been made here since the early 20th century. Today, there are many theaters and cinemas situated throughout India.

New Delhi is also a significant place in India because of its enthralling history.

The countryside in India also pulls a lot of tourist interest because of its historical importance. Many rural areas have not changed considerably past 100 years.

Religion is another cause why people may take a flight to India. In fact, religion plays a very important part in the culture of India. There are many unusual religious and spiritual sites all over India. For example, there is the Golden Temple, which is of great consequence to the Sikh religion. There are also a large number of Hindu temples all across the country.
