If Australia wins the fifth one day international today, it would be very hard for Team India to bounce back. The team winning todays game, would just be a step away from winning the series and clinching the trophy.
THE INDIA Vs Australia 5th ODI will start in a few hours from now and both the teams would very badly want to win this match to go 3-2 up in the India Australia 2009 series, which is tied up at 2-2. The 5th ODI that will be played at Hyderabad would be a day night affair and once again the toss as well as the dew factor would play a vital role. The injured Australian side is high of confidence and it would require a complete team effort from India if they want to beat the Australians.
The Australia team is without their seven first choice men and still they have given a fighting reply to the mighty Indians. If Australia wins the fifth one day international today, it would be very hard for Team India to bounce back. The team winning todays game, would just be a step away from winning the series and clinching the trophy.
India sorely missed the services of Gautam Gambhir in the 4th ODI and lost the match by 24 runs. The 4th ODI win by Australia was a shock for the Indian fans. The Indian batting line up failed to provide little resistance to the all fired up Australian bowling attack. Indians should do some serious introspection and should come out strongly in the 5th ODI if they want to get back on track. Though this time, no team would be the favourites to win the match. For team India, who wants to be the best in the world, they should have won both the close matches that they lost. After all a loss is a loss. On the other hand, the Australians would be quite happy and satisfied with their performance till date in the ongoing series.
The failures of Virat Kohli, Raina and Jadeja would be a great concern for the Indians and they would want them to get back to form as soon as possible, as this would be the most important match of the series. Australia has yet again suffered a major setback when Henriques was also ruled out of the match due to injury and their injury woe just continues. However, with Watson, Hussey, Ponting and White getting runs in the last game, they would be hoping that the good form continues if they want to win the series.
Sachin Tendulkar who was wrongly given leg before last match, is just 7 runs away from reaching the milestone of 17000 runs and it is being hoped that he comes out with a big score today. The pitch would be a good one for batting and both the teams would like to post a huge total and put pressure on the opponents.
It is indeed very hard to predict the result of the 5th ODI as the charged up Australian squad won't be easy to handle. Whereas the Indians would very much want to bounce back strongly and take the momemtum forward and win the series.
Who do you think would win the 5th ODI? The mightly Indians or the injured yet full of confidence Australians?
