India Vs England: 4th Test match preview
The ongoing five match Test series between India and England is tied (1-1) with two more matches to go, where the fourth Test match is scheduled to be played at Old Trafford starting tomorrow. England levelled the series after defeating India in the third Test match with a huge margin of 266 runs. This victory has made the series more interesting with both teams eager to win the fourth Test match and go into the final Test match in the driver's seat.

The Indian team may already be in the backfoot, as their two main bowlers Ishant Sharma and Bhuvnesh Kumar remain a cause of worry due to their injuries. Their absence would be a huge drawback to India, as these two bowlers have been a major threat with the red cherry in their hand.

If this is the case, Mohammad Sammi needs to spearhead the bowling attack, which is sure to lack venom. Bowlers like Pankaj Singh needs to step up their game and help turn India's fortune. The Indian spinner, Ashwin is expected to play in the fourth Test match at the expense of either Rohit Sharma or Jadeja.

But, as far as the Indian batting goes, there have been some positives with players such as Rahane, Dhoni, Murli Vijay amongst the runs. Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Pujara have all been getting starts, but have not been able to convert their starts into big innings. There is no dearth of talent in the Indian team as far as batting is concerned, it is time for them to unite and show their mettle, else there are a number of batsmen waiting in the wings as well for the future.

On the other hand, the English team may be upbeat after ending a run of 10 Tests without a win after their comprehensive victory against India. They would like to come up with a repeat performance, where both their batsmen as well as the bowlers delivered.

Alistair Cook finally came up with a good innings, when he was under severe pressure, so he is going to hold the key for the English team when he comes onto bat. Apart from Cook, Bell has also looked impressive in the series along with Ballance. Their opening bowling pair of Stuart Broad and James Anderson have been performing consistently and threating the Indian batsmen. The story is not going to change, but the Indians need a way to find a way out.
