India Vs South Africa India wins Sachin's 200 highest ODI score
India has won the ODI by 153 runs giving SA a thwarting defeat. Sachin's 200 not out has set a record in itself. 'Soon we would be heard saying that our generations has seen Tendulkar play,' said Sunil Gavaskar in a reaction to the massive win.
India won the ODI by 153 runs giving SA a thwarting defeat Wednesday. Milestone man Sachin Tendulkar’s 200-not-out has set yet another record.

"Sachin batted really well," said an elated Mahendra Singh Dhoni in a reaction to the massive win on the Indian soil. Also someone who stood out in the game on the Gwalior soil was Yusuf Pathan.

"It is important to get batsman like Yusuf Pathan. He has been a great contributor. He just needs a little more confidence," said the Indian cricket Team Captain.

"I have changed my batting a bit. It was one of those innings where this change was needed," Dhoni added.

Tendular who bagged the Man of the Match trophy said in his first reaction, "I would like to dedicate this win to Indians who have supported me through all ups and downs."

"I was timing the ball well. The target (between 350-400) was a good one," he added.

Complimenting Yusuf Pathan's performance in the game Sachin said, "I felt Yusuf came and changed the momentum. After that Dhoni struck the ball well. It’s because of these two guys that we have achieved this score."

"I would like to play another 50 overs. Let’s see where my fitness level takes me," said the record setting batsman.

"Opposition chased a score of 400 runs. Ashish Nehra, Srishant took excellent wickets," he added.

Sachin Tendulkar who completes 20 fabulous years in the game was presented with a silver bat and a cheque of Rs 10 lakh by the Gwalior Association.

This is a first ever double centuary in an ODI. The Gwalior one day saw South Africa all out at 248 runs.

Sachin Tendulkar was a picture of calm and control through-out the game. He knew what he was doing and India won the series with 153 runs.

One-Day International cricket, since its 1971 inception, had to wait nearly four decades to see a batsman score 200. The previous best mark was shared by Zimbabwean Charles Coventry (194 not out) and Pakistan's Saeed Anwar (194).

As the crowd erupted with unbridled joy, Tendulkar, tired but composed, took off his helmet, looked skyward, closed his eyes to offer a silent prayer.
His captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni came down from the striker's end to shake hands and hug him.

And as Tendulkar set on his way back to the pavilion after the completion of the Indian innings, a tumultuous celebration greeted him.

The crowd gave him a standing ovation as the entire stadium erupted in euphoria while his teammates were simply ecstatic as they clapped and hugged each other, basking in the glory of their senior teammates.

The crowd got restless as Tendulkar approached the 194-run mark and a couple off Wayne Parnell saw him eclipse it.

Dhoni took singles off the final deliveries of the 47th-49th overs and Tendulkar finally took strike with four balls left in the innings.

The first ball he received from Langeveldt was steered past point and
Tendulkar ran for a single to remain unbeaten after an unforgettable unbeaten 200 that came off just 147 balls with 25 fours and three sixes in it.

It was yet another milestone for the man, who has some 30,000 international runs under his belt, including 93 centuries (47 in Tests and 46 in ODIs).
