SOUTH AFRICA completed a memorable win, beating India by an innings and 6 runs at Nagpur. They now lead the 2-Test series 1-0 going into the Kolkata Test. India suffered their 3rd innings defeat at home in the last 25 years as South Africa completed a fabulous victory in this race to take the Test championship.

The home side was completely outplayed in all the departments in the game. This was also the first test defeat for India under the captainship of MS Dhoni. The Proteas piled up a huge total after winning the toss and bowled out India by cheaply taking a mammoth lead, enforced the follow-on and bowled out the home side once again within that lead.

Hashim Amla and Jacques Kallis batted beautifully for the visitors. Dale Steyn proved why he is the No.1 bowler in Tests, becoming the first Proteas' bowler to take 10 wickets in a match in India. For the home side, there were a couple of individual performances with Tendulkar and Sehwag getting hundreds but what lacked was a team performance.

Bowlers failed to impress and the inexperienced middle order succumbed to a quality attack. India did put up a fight in their second innings but couldn't last for too long.

I am astonished at the next team selected. What wrong Mohammad Kaif has done to the selectors for nor getting selected. Would selector clarify?
