SACHIN TENDULKAR on Friday (November 20), became the first cricket player to make 30,000 runs in international cricket as he played a masterly inning on Friday, to attain a draw for India in the first test match being played at Motera in Ahmedabad.
Sachin marked his 43rth century in the ongoing test match. Sachin has 17,178 runs in one-day cricket, while he has 12, 812 runs in test match cricket and still counting as the little master moves toward a century in this inning against Sri Lanka. The test is moving towards a draw as Indian score read 409 for 4 wickets and the game is coming to a close.
After the loss of Gautam Ghambir in the afternoon, elegant VVS Laxman showed his class and played a very valuable inning to save the test match along with Tendulkar. Laxman played solidly for his half century and ensured that Sri Lanka could not make any inroads into the Indian camp.
