Indian Army kills 3 terrorists in Anantnag during a gunfight; schools shut in Srinagar
In a gun battle in the early hours of Monday, the Indian Army killed 3 terrorists in Anantnag district.

In the after math of the incident, restrictions have been imposed by the police in parts of Srinagar, since one of the killed militants was from Srinagar.

To prevent protests, restrictions are in place in Soura and four other police station areas of Srinagar, the police said.

As a precautionary measure, all schools and colleges have been shut. The exams of the Kashmir University which were to take place on Monday have also been postponed.

The three militants killed by the security forces on Monday have been identified as Eesa Fazli from Srinagar; Syed Owais and Sabzar Ahmad Sofi, both hailing from Anantnag district of south Kashmir, according to the agencies.

Before taking up arms, Fazli had been pursuing a BTech degree from the Baba Ghulam Shah University in Rajouri district of Kashmir.
