Indian Celebrities who lost their lives in 2013
Bollywood witnessed the demise of many of its super stars and stars in the year 2013. The popular faces of the Bollywood which were loved by the mass and were favorite to all the generations finally said goodbye to the tinsel town. These celebrities include some noted musicians, some renowned actors, actresses and some master directors.

Jiah Khan: The 25- year old beautiful actress died on June 3. It has been said that she committed the suicide but later on in the investigation it has been found that she had been murdered and name of Suraj Pancholi, son of  actor Aditya Pancholi surfaced as accused. Jiah who became famous after her debut movie Nishab in which she acted opposite to Amitab Bachhan. Khan had also also worked with Aamir Khan in Ghajni and in several other movies.

Ritopurno Ghosh: Famous Award winning Bengali filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh passed away in Kolkata on May 30. Rituparno Ghosh died following a cardiac arrest. Ghosh had  also won National Award for his movie 'Chitragandha' in 2012.

Pran: One of the deadliest villain of 70's Pran also known as Pran Krishan Sikand passed away on July 12. A cruel villain on screen and a man with golden heart off the screen left the whole Bollywood nostalgic after his death. He was said to be the iconic actor and the father of all Indian villains, who died after the prolong illness in a hospital.

Manna Dey: One of the legendary singers of all time Manna Dey died this year while leaving a big  space in the field of music. The Govt. ff India had honored him with the Padma Shri in 1971, the Padma Bhushan in 2005 and the Dada Sheb Phalke awrd in 2007. Dey sang in all the major regional languages, primarily in Hindi and Bengali. He died of cardiac arrest.

Shamshad Begum: Shamshad Begum is the first female singer in the Bollywood who has very famous for her distinctive voice, singing over 6000 songs in her lifetime in most of the major languages. She sang some of the popular songs of all time like hit songs 'Mere Piya Gaye Rangoon', 'Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar' and 'Kajra Mohabbat Wala'. She died at the age of 93 at her residence.

Jagdish Raj: The actor who was famous for doing his role as a police officer in bollywood movies. He died at the age of 85 due to respiratory ailment. He was the only Bollywood actor who held a Guinness world record for being the most type-cast actor. He played the role of a police inspector in 144 films. Raj acted in the movies like 'Deewar', 'Don', 'Shakti', 'Mazdoor', and 'Silsila'.


Farooq Sheikh: One of the most lovable actors of all time Farooq Shiekh died due to heart attack in Dubai. He was on a vacation in Dubai with his family where it happened. He was one of the most versatile actor of all the time known for his powerful acting. Most of the films he had done are soft hearted and light hearted movies with social message and social issues. Some of his famous movies are Umrao Jan, Katha, Garam Hawa, Chashme Badoor and Bazaar.
