Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair is going to get a new look
The 18 years old Handicrafts & Gifts fair, organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), organizers of Asia's largest fair, has decided to introduce it in a new look as "IHGF-Delhi Fair - Autumn 2014" with a new addition of product categories and larger area.
"Handicrafts exports registered an increase of 38.22 percent in Rupee terms and 24.25 percent in dollar terms during 2013-14 over the previous year." The exports during the financial year 2013-14 is Rs. 24,837.48 crores, said Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director, EPCH, as reported by SME Times.

The only one Handicrafts & Gifts Fair held in Asian Continent has been known as "One Stop Sourcing Event" for International buyers, Kumar added.

The fair will come with another uniqueness that all exhibitors are manufacturers and exporters from Pan India basis while visitors are from all continents of the world. And these visitors are no other than predominantly buyers, buying houses, departmental stores, chain stores, designers, interior decorators, retailers, importers, distributors, mail order houses, wholesalers, boutique owners, fashion designers etc. and Indian big retail houses.

To create awareness the EPCH has launched worldwide publicity campaign in overseas markets like USA, Canada, Europe and Asian Continents not only releasing advertorials in leading magazines across the globe, different initiatives has also been taken to reach at every nook and corner by the Council.

EPCH is expecting a large number of overseas buyers during "IHGF Delhi Fair - Autumn 2014" to be held from 14 - 18 October, 2014 at India Expo Mart & Centre, Greater Noida and the new trend of campaigning will work well.

The show has been catering large product categories of Home plus Fashion and Life styles products for the last few years. The widened product categories are Houseware, Bathroom, Garden Ornaments, Lamps and Lighting, Furniture, Home Furnishing, Carpets, Fashion Jewellery, Festive Decor, Spa and Wellness, Decorative Articles & Giftware, Sports Goods, Sustainable products, stationary, Luggage, Pet Accessories, Ethnic crafts, Arts and Frames, Home Textiles and Visual Merchandising Articles.
