Indian laws are anti-male 23 October, 2008
As per the suicide statistics provided by the National Crime Records Bureau, for the years 2005 and 2006, close to 52, 483 and 55, 452 married men, respectively, have committed suicide as opposed to 28, 188 and 29, 869 married women.
WOMEN HAVE been attacked with acid in the past so many years from 1996 and now there is suddenly a huge ’hue and cry’ to get a law against acid attacks. Well, this act is by no means non – condemnable since, ’violence is violence’ and has no locus standi in any civilized human society. But on one side where there is a lot of euphoria being created for the issues of women, no one seems to be bothered about men at all. Whether they exist or not, or if they face any issues or not? Time has come to have a look at some glaring lacunae in the system which has led to:

  1. Close to 1, 20, 000 mothers and sisters of men have been arrested under charges of Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code, without any verification or trial, just on a mere complaint, as these women were blood relatives of a ’man’. Even the barbarous British government took 10 years to arrest 5000 women (1937 – 1947) but the Indian government has arrested close to 24 times more women in just four years (2004 – 2007). The maximum women arrested by the British Government is 17,000 in 1930 for Dandi, but the Indian government under the protection of National Commission of Women arrested 1, 20, 000 women in four years.

  1. As per National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), in the year 2005, more than 22, 64, 000 crimes have been registered against men (which is 92.8 per cent of total registered crimes), while crime against women is 1 , 55, 000 approximately (which is 6.38 per cent of total registered crimes) and yet the media never found it worthy enough to highlight it. This seems to be a really pathetic and callous approach. It’s just a matter of question as to whose life is in more danger in India. Is it men or women? In fact as per the murder rates of the USA and India, our women are twice more safer than the women in the US, this is despite the presence of the so called ’Dowry Deaths’ in India.

  1. As per the suicide statistics provided by the National Crime Records Bureau, for the years 2005 and 2006, close to 52, 483 and 55, 452 married men, respectively, have committed suicide as opposed to 28, 188 and 29, 869 married women. Yet whenever a married woman dies due to any reason whatsoever, be it an accident, illness or suicide due to any reason unknown, it is converted into a dowry death and yet, such large scale suicides by men are not even noticed, let alone imparting justice to them. Can the government and the media answer as to why such apathy meted out to men?

  1. Why is there not even a single rupee spent for men’s welfare when they pay 82 per cent of the total taxes in India? Even animals have welfare, then why not men? Has anyone ever thought about this? Such a situation exists despite the fact that each day 205 men end their lives as in comparison to 112 women.

Some more issues faced by men which were never published:

  1. Lifestyle Gap: In 2002 the womens’ average annual earned income was USD1,471 which is almost three times lesser than the average for the men who earned USD 4,723, but still shopping malls are dominated by women with more than 75 per cent buying capacity.

  1. Literacy: In 2004 the literacy rate amongst males was 73.4 per cent and that amongst females was 47.8 per cent. Yet more than 60 per cent of men earn less than 1 USD per day.

  1. Work - Life Balance: Indian Men toil like donkeys and the females spend off the splurge and as a result men are dying 1.7 times faster than women over all statistics.

Domestic Violence:

More than 98 per cent of the Indian husbands face Domestic violence at least once from their wives, which may be in terms of economical abuse, mental harassment, or relationship cheating.

More than 22,000 Indian Men have ended their lives in reverse Dowry harassment by their wives, as against 6800 wives who ended their lives due to dowry harassment by their husbands.

In all the 6,800 cases, the Indian husbands had been sent behind bars without any investigation and more than 68 per cent were found to be innocent, where as in 22,000 cases only six cases had been registered and not a single woman had been questioned as to why their husbands ended their lives, let alone any punishments.

Forced Sex and crimes against men:

More than two-thirds of married men in India between the ages of 15 and 49 have been the victims of forced sex by their girlfriends and in more than 78 per cent cases the men had been booked under rape cases, as they refused to marry their girlfriends.

Crime against men is increasing with a alarming growth rate of 42 per cent in the last five years, whereas the media and government have never even bothered to disclose the same in front of the public.

Sexual harassment and refusal of sex has happened with more than 82 per cent Indian men as their wives refused physical union at least once in six months and 42 per cent have faced it at least once in three months.

Progress made so far:

Six decades have passed since Independence and yet, neither a single rupee has been spent for men welfare nor has there been a law enacted to protect them. Though the government has earned around 82 per cent tax in the year 2008 from men, even then it has been of no use to them.

More than 98 per cent of the Armed forces constitute men, with less than 2 per cent being women.

Also, lesser than 28 per cent of men serve the media industry.

Prostitution industry is dominated by 99.98 per cent women and only 0.02 per cent men.

Receptions, office telecoms, schools, and banks, etc. have ease of work in the jobs and lesser burden, which are again occupied by only 30 per cent of men and 70 per cent women.

More than 96 per cent of the NGOs are getting funds from the government for the sake of Women and Child Welfare whereas less than 4 per cent of NGOs receive funds for men.

One third of the seats in the village councils are now reserved for women but still the educated women are not ready to take the responsibility.

High achievers like Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Dr Abdul Kalam have not married and done actual wonders in their lives.

Role of Congress government:

More than 85 per cent of the time our country has been ruled by the Congress government and during that regime:

  1. Indian husbands have been openly killed by their wives and their boyfriends and all those murderers have been roaming freely in our society, yet the government has not bothered to make any law to protect these innocent husbands.

  1. Killing of unborn child or abortion has become a birth right for all Indian women by the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971.

  1. Legal Terrorism tools like Section 498A IPC, Domestic Violence Act 2005, 125 CrPC (Order of maintenance), have been let loose to terrorise Indian men as in these cases, the verbal statement of the wife is considered as evidence whereas definitive documentary evidence by husbands like video recording, voice recording, bank statements are routinely ignored in investigation.

  1. Adultery is a civil offence for Indian women whereas criminal offence for Indian men.

  1. And more and more of anti–male laws are lined to create disarray and chaos in the workplace via the Workplace Harassment Bill and the new Rape Law.

The questions that irk the rationale are:

  1. Is not the government staunchly anti – male?

  1. Is not the government promoting the creation of fatherless society in India?

  1. Is not the government out to kill the institution of marriage in India?

I am hoping that the government has a good justification for not spending a single rupee for men welfare in the last six decades and as a result of which, crime has been increasing day by day in the society. And lastly, what justification does the government have to give for granting the wholesale free licence to women in India to commit all sorts of crime and go scot-free to catch some man and punish him?

.True everything is true. Kick the CONG govt out. They created ULFA, j&K problems too. Corruption in govt offices is because of them. THis leads to high prices in other institutions like education, hospital etc as these institutions pay heavy bribes to govt to obtain liscense. When govt, administration(govt offices),police, lawyers are corrupt everything goes haywire. India is a land of great people MK Gandhi,Buddha,Beda Vyas, Vivekanand, Hakka Bukka, Chatrapati Shivaji,Rabindranath Tagore,Kasturba,Jansi ki Rani,Rani Lakshmi Bai,Akbar,Pritvi Raj Chauhan,Chanakya to name a few. All this culture will go and women will end up with bikinis on streets killing others to make money.

.This is the real terrorism. Hidden under the guise of Women's Rights. The so call gender neutral laws are surprisingly never neutral. It always favors woman. Did any one notice, how these feminazism has risen under this Government. There were no such hate-male laws before. Congress is anti-male as it is controlled by a woman.
.yes, its really affected by the men. Any nice thinking person (even Male/Female) in any position will relise the Truth. Really its happening around.
.Well said Virag, Whew that's a lot of info. What a life a male leads in this world!! Shocking. And these women. Oh My!! listen & AG, I think i know pretty sure why u r anti ???
.Virag, You seem well researched with plenty of interesting facts, that will not be see elsewhere! The problem with the Indian situation, is that women are a very powerful votebank. No politician will stick his neck out for justice, unless he wants to commit political harakiri. Just see the vile language the media uses against the politicians who are conscientiously opposing reservation for women in parliament! Imagine their reaction to gender neutral laws! The only way a change can come, is by AWARENESS - particulalry among males. And as seen in the western countries, this awareness might come only after a very long period of feminist cruelty.
.rubbish

Really typical Indian mentality... :-) Won't read and understand what's written, rather bring their own bent nose and derive broken meanings out of it... like the above
I never said that. And it is interesting to note you could see 6800 but not 56000. Shows typical Indian mentality. Anything happening with men is OK. Women the problem must be solved
