Indian women's cricket team to play a three-match ODI series at home against England in April 2018
In the last ICC Women's World Cup final, the Indian women's cricket team led by Mithali Raj lost to England by a very narrow margin.

But now it appears that team India will have an opportunity to show their mettle as the BCCI announced on Monday that team India will be hosting England for a three-match ODI series in April 2018 as part of the ICC Women's Championship (2017-2020).

The three matches will be played on 8th, 11th and 14th of April. It is pertinent to add that this series will be played after the proposed T20I tri-series between England, Australia and India. Prior to this, India will also host Australia for a three-match ODI series between March 12 to March 18.

However, India will begin their ICC Women's Championship with the series in South Africa from February 5 to 10.

In fact, despite their unfortunate defeat against England by a small margin of 9 runs earlier this year in the World Cup, the Indian women's cricket team was extended a warm reception on their arrival back home with unparalleled support from all over the country. The team would now be eager to settle the score. This appears to be the right time for the growth of women's cricket in India which should be fully supported. So let's make the moment count!
