Indo-Pak talks: Dialogue of the deaf, by the deaf
India and Pakistan held secretary level talks in New Delhi. The outcome was a Zero. No knowledgeable diplomat is surprised.
THE INDIAN Foreign Secretary and her Pakistan counterpart, both bureaucrats, met in New Delhi on 25 Feb 2010 and shook hands before parting without achieving anything. The Pakistan diplomat did not listen to what India said about a top terrorist, Hafiz Sayeed, who has given an open call in Lahore to wage JIHAD or an UIslamic war against India. PARLEY'S OUTCOME
It was known in advance that the secretary level talks would fail. Each side would reiterate its stand on old issues and part company after appreciating the art and architecture of the venue, Delhi. this is precisely what had happened nine years ago when the then Pakistan President,general Pervez Musharraf had had a chat with Prime Minister Atal Behari vajpayee of India at Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal.That talk too had failed. As a matter of fact all talks between India and Pakistan would fail unless there is a change in the attitude of Pakistan against India. Both the countries must extend the hand of friendship and extend the hand holding the olive branch. Right now that is not the case.
AMERICAN PRESSURE
The present talks were a result of the American pressure on both the countries to come to the talking table and once afain resume a dialogue. In other words, the two nuclear neighbours should be on talking terms. All diplomatic critics see it as a precursor of the American plan to quit Afghanistan honorably after Peace is established in the Indian sub-continent. it is the American self interest that is motivating hostile neighbours to say Hello willy-nilly.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India is the only person of importance to bite the bait. Possibly he is aiming higher to get the Nobel Prize for Peace by going out of the way to talk to Pakistan even when such a talk is deterimental to the interests of India. it is the self interest of the Indian prime Minister that has made him a staunch ally of the Americans to talk Peace with Pakistan and sacrifice the Indian national interest.History will not forgive him for this anti-national move.
AMERICANS STAY PUT
A word of advice to Americans too. For God's sake and for the sake of your compatriots who made the supreme sacrifice in war on Terror, please do not quit Afghanistan . Do not be a Defeatist like the Russians who quit Afghanistan and brought shame to their armed forces. Please forget Vietnam where you were a loser. In Afghanistan, the story is different. With the successful Surge and the Offensive MUSHTARAK and the Afghan National Army raising its country's flag in the Taliban stronghold, the war situation has taken a turn for the better.Please keep the Initiative and Bash on Regardless.
ULTIMATE VICTORY
The ultimate victory will be that of the NATO forces provided you hold on to what you have got.The battle situation is changing. The turn in favour of the Americans is making news. It will raise the morale of the western soldiers. Just maintain the winning spry like it is now. The Ultimate Victory will be that of the democratic forces and the terrorist forces will once again vanish in thin air like they did in 2001. Hurray to the present victory and best of luck for the future.
Hereafter, let there be no diplomatic pressure on India to talk to Pakistan when the world knows that the outcome of this Dialogue of the Deaf would be a ZERO.

Chitranjan Sawant I respect what you have written but can you please tell me why Indian Army was supporting Bangali's? Matter of fact is you Indian never accepted creation of Pakistan. This is the point where hatred starts. You never gave right of self determination to Kashmiri people. You refused to act upon UN resolutions which your leaders initially accepted. Can you give me any reason why all such bad things happened? Ok if Pakistan is encouraging few people like Hafiz Saeed what you did??? We respect Indian Hindus and Muslims. You are quite right, World is changed now. In Europe countries like Germany and Great Britian are friends now. All Euorpi Union is under on flag, Is it not possible in sub continent? Those who preach Hatred, they are ultimate losers. Pakistan broke into two because the Punjabi Muslims hated the bengali Muslims. Pakistan army was defeated by the Indian Army because Hatred made them blind to needs of profession. The Indian Army was victorious in 1971 because of a professional policy of good soldiering where hatred had no role.
