International Men's Day: Bangalore organizes bike rally to highlight men's rights issues
The Banglore unit of Save Indian Family Foundation (SIFF) has planned a bike rally in the city to celebrate International Men's Day today in the afternoon to highlight the men's rights issue. The supporters have been informed to assemble at Ecospace Tech Park in the city.

The men's rights activists feel that current social awareness lacks sensitivity about men and their sacrifices and contributions to society and family are often taken for granted.

Some of the articulated by SIFF and associated NGOs are that the laws should be made gender neutral since when man is abused by a woman, society and law rarely punishes the oppressing woman. Another main demand is that the Domestic Violence Act (2005) should include husbands also in its clause. For the last few years SIFF had been making a demand for a National Commission for Men.

A large number of men feel that current laws are not gender neural and their problems, issues and concerns are being ignored. Not only in India, in many countries, only women' issues being given priority, men are have the mental health issues and suicides of married has increased.
