Intervention of laughter yoga as education therapy can lead to speech improvement of vowel sounds for special kids
Innovative teachers and educational therapists always try to find out non-yoga use of yoga. Yoga is done consciously by linking body with mind through attention on breathing. In laughter yoga, the diaphragm- breathing and chant- laughter mocking (ha-ha-ha) is linked to concentrate consciousness.

Laughter yoga can be easily associated with interventions for children with specific learning disabilities, voice training and speech improvement both in one-to-one situation and small group learning situation consisting of 3 to 5 children, it has been found by experts.

For such sessions for kids in the age group 3 to 9 years, beginning with warm up is suggested by making kids clapping their hands. Most laughter yoga sessions begin with warm-up exercises that involve clapping with synchronizing movements with hands in front and parallel to each other to enhance kids' energy level.

First, clap with a 1-2-3 rhythm, then with a 1-2 and fast 1-2-3 rhythm by standing stationary.

Thereafter, repeat the warm up exercise with the foregoing rhythm by moving hands up and down.

Finally, repeat the second warm up exercise along with swinging them from side to side as you clap.

Yoga Exercise-1: Breathe in with belly pressed in. Successively through your hand up successively higher and higher with ha of the mocked laughter ha-ha-ha loudly.

Other yoga exercises for Hindi vowel sounds could be with following chants and laughter. Each exercise is done 5 times.

  • Ha-ha; ho-ho-ho
  • Haa-haa; ho-ho-ho
  • Hi-hi; ho-ho- ho-ho
  • Hee-hee; ho-ho-ho
  • Hu-hu; ho-ho-ho
  • Hoo-hoo, ho-ho-ho
  • Ho-ho, ho-ho-ho
  • Hau-hau, ho-ho-ho
  • Hon-hon, ho-ho-ho
  • H:-h:, ho-ho-ho
The exercises can be repeated by breathing from belly with deep inhales and exhalations.
