As Poonam Pandey took to Twitter on March 16, it seemed that she disapproved of the lowering of the age of consensual sex from 18 years to 16 years. Her disapproval was shown with her not-so-subtle tweet: 'With the Govt reducing the age to have legal sex to 16 years, We will soon need to introduce Bourn-Vita and Rasna flavored condoms.'
While she might have written this with the best of intentions, but the questions remains: With the tweet coming from Poonam Pandey will anyone take it seriously? The lady who rose to fame with promises to strip for the Indian team would have been the last person from whom the government of India would have expected a jib. However, it seems that even this actress doesn’t want the government to lower the age of consensual sex.
People from all around India are talking about the same but no one has put it across in such a colourful fashion. While the government might not see eye to eye with her tweet but the condom manufacturing companies would sure be looking at it with more seriousness, as Pandey just opened up a new customer base for them.
