The following countries will be getting the latest version of Apple’s iPhone, the iPhone 4:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
The iPhone 4 was launched in five countries initially and Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO, promised to make the second batch available to 17 other countries by the end of July.
The iPhone 4 has been in some controversy as soon as it was launched as some users and reviewers reported signal loss when the iPhone 4 was held in a certain way. Apple had to call a press conference to show that it is not only with the iPhone 4 but almost all the phones have this signal bar loss issue.The demoed phones were from RIM, HTC, Nokia and the latest being Motorola’s Droid X. These phones shown signal loss when they were gripped in a certain way.Apple has shown a strong second quarter results with a net quarterly profit of $3.25 billion."It was a phenomenal quarter that exceeded our expectations all around, including the most successful product launch in Apple's history with iPhone 4," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "iPad is off to a terrific start, more people are buying Macs than ever before, and we have amazing new products still to come this year."The device is eagerly awaited in all the countries of the world as it is arguable the best phone on the planet with some great features like Retina Display with 326 ppi resolution, HD video recording, FaceTime for Video calling, 5 MP camera with a back illuminated censor, multitasking, folders to accommodate more than 2100 apps along with more than 100 new features. The pricing of the phone in these 17 countries will be announced at a later date by Apple.
