IPL 10 Preview: Eliminator – KKR V/s SRH
The M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru gears up to host the eliminator to be played out between Kolkata Knight Riders and last year's runners-up the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Needless to say, the team losing today will be eliminated from IPL 10. While the Sunrisers have beefed up their performance towards the end of this year's IPL season, Kolkata Knight Riders seem to have lost their way somewhat. Although KKR started IPL 10 on a winning note, the team has won only four out of its last seven matches.

As the sweltering summer heat continues to sweep across the Indian subcontinent drawing moisture out of the ground, spinners are expected to dictate terms. The pitch in Bengaluru is expected to be a slow and turning one where scoring would not be that easy, especially if pace is taken off the ball. Fortunately, both opposing teams have decent spin attacks. While spinners Sunil Narine and Kuldeep Yadav have bowled well for KKR, for the Sunrisers, both Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi have been a force to reckon.

In the last encounter between the two sides in the league stage, SRH had won convincingly owing to a brilliant ton from David Warner. KKR must watch out for Warner today, as he is also the current Orange Cap holder with 604 runs from 13 matches, his highest score being 126. Another worrying thing for KKR is that the second highest run scorer in IPL 10 so far is also from SRH. Shikhar Dhawan, who occupies number two position of leading run scorers in IPL 2017 after David Warner has 468 runs under his belt. If these two get going today, KKR could come in for a lot of trouble.

However, while SRH's batsmen have scored runs consistently, their bowling has let them down. Bipul Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are the two main culprits who have fared with a poor economy rate in this season of IPL. Moreover, their bowlers must also have a backup plan ready in case Sunil Narine, who is being used as a pinch hitter by KKR comes out and starts dispatching balls out of the park. Being an eliminator game, there is absolutely no room for error today.
