IPL 2008 champions, RR take on IPL 2012 champions, KKR
Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals will be face-to-face later today in Jaipur. The teams, led by Gautam Gambir and Rahul Dravid respectively, have started IPL 2013 on a winning note.

Rajasthan Royals showed their fighting spirit in their last game against Delhi Daredevils, which they won just by five runs. KKR got the better out of the same opponent, Delhi Daredevils, as they defeated them by six wickets. But, KKR should expect a tougher battle in Jaipur from the home team.

Rajasthan Royals have some good experience in their line-up, such as Brad Hodge and Rahul Dravid, who came up good in their last game. But, they do have other players who have proved themselves in the domestic circuit, such as Ajinkya Rahane, Stuart Binny, A. Maneria, just to name a few.

These players need to stand up when they face quality bowling of KKR, especially Sunil Naraine, who has made life tough for batsmen in the IPL since its fifth edition and not to forget Brett Lee, who still bags the punch to knock the middle stump out of the ground.

The KKR with their strong batting line up should make life difficult for the comparatively weak bowlers of the Royals side. But, it is the same bowlers who put up a brave fight to defeat the Delhi side. It is their never give up attitude, which helped them cross the line. Cooper and Badree are their two main bowlers along with Sreesanth. If these bowlers fail to pick up early wickets, KKR batsmen such as Jacques Kallis, Gautam Gambhir, Yusuf Pathan, Manoj Tiwary, and Eoin Morgan will make them pay.

The RR may not possess such quality batsmen barring one or two, but in Kusal Perera, young Sri Lankan aggressive batsman, they have a player capable of demolishing the KKR attack. His bottom hand play is comparable to one of the Sri Lankan legends, Sanath Jayasuria.
