IPL 2013: Mumbai Indians Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad
The race for the IPL 2013 playoffs is getting interesting everyday, as the final four has still not been decided. Two teams, Mumbai Indian and Sunrisers Hyderabad, have both got a chance to make it to the final four when they clash tonight in the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Both teams have played 13 matches each with Mumbai two points above the Sunrisers.

A victory for Sunrisers here would bring them level with Mumbai on points and on the contrary if Mumbai win, they are going to be tied with CSK and RR, who are at the top of the table with 20 points. Only net run rate places CSK at the top of the points table.

Mumbai looks in ominous form with three victories in a row. It has been an all round display by the Mumbai Indians, where their batsmen and bowlers have stood up to the task of IPL 2013. Apart from batsmen such as Rohit Sharma, Dwayne Smith and Dinesh Karthik, Sachin Tendulkar has also come to the party giving the Mumbai Indians a good start and the middle order batsmen are making the full use of such starts. Rohit Sharma has also led the side pretty well with Ricky Ponting opting to sit out to balance the team and thus allowing in form players to play.

The Sunrisers has been performing well with the ball on most occasions, but in their last game against Kings XI Punjab, their team showed true character as they were struggling with 5 wickets down for 50 odd runs. But they scored around 100 runs more to establish that they are a good batting side as well, when it matters most. Their bowlers such as Dale Steyn, Ishant Sharma and Amit Mishra bowled well to carry the team towards victory. The Mumbai batsmen needs to be careful while playing these bowlers, who have been in red hot form.

But the same can also be said for Mumbai bowlers as well with Malinga, Ojha, and Johnson showing their class. They could well make things difficult for the Sunrisers batsmen, who have not been in the best of form, in spite of possessing players in the ranks of Sangakkara, Cameron White, and Parthiv Patel. These batsmen have lacked consistency. Their batsmen need to be more consistent if they are to make the playoffs, bowlers alone cannot win matches everyday.

Both these teams have 3 matches to play in the group stages and they need to push harder in these remainder matches for the competition is getting tougher with all teams eager to end the group stages on a high in IPL 2013.
