IPL 2014 : CSK Vs KKR
The standings table for IPL 2014 reflects Chennai Super Kings in a comfortable position, while their opponent for today, Kolkata Knight Riders are placed in fourth position, who can make it to the final four, if they win some of their remaining matches. Kolkata has had a mixed outing during the season, but they need to be more consistent in the remainder of the matches, if they are remain in contention for the elusive IPL 2014 title.

CSK - a consistent side

As usual, CSK has always had a well balanced side and this season has been no different with their batsmen and bowlers putting up a good show. In the batting arena, it is their batsmen, such as McCullum and D Smith, who have been impressive in their opening stands. The West Indian has amassed 449 runs, while McCullum has scored more than 350 runs, which has resulted in some great victories.

Apart from these openers, Raina has provided some cameos in the middle order, while Jadeja and Dhoni have also contributed to the team's score.

Their bowlers has also been impressive with three CSK bowlers in top ten, namely MM Sharma, R jadeja and R Ashwin with 18, 14 and 13 wickets respectively. Hence, with such consistent players in their squad, CSK could walk away with the game if they get their act together.

KKR ? a must win game

The same cannot be said for KKR, who has not had a great competition so far, but still remains in the frame for a spot in the final four. Sunil Narine has been the best bowler for KKR with 15 wickets. Another KKR spinner, Piyush Chawla has been conistent as well with 10 wickets. If KKR are to contain the strong batting line up of CSK, these bowlers need to be on top of their game.

In the batting department, Robin Uthappa has been their biggest revelation after promoting him to the openers slot. He has amassed 422 runs and his form of late has been tremendous and also one of the most important reasons for KKR's performance. His opening partner, Gambhir has also been decent with the willow as he has already scored 258 runs. But it is rest of their batmen like Kallis, who has not looked in touch, which has been a major drawback.

But, this game against CSK is a must win game for KKR, as a victory here for KKR would help them climb in the standings table.
