IPL 2014 Preview: KKR eager to break their losing streak against DD
The 28th match of the Indian Premier league is scheduled to be played in a few hours time between team Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders at Ferozshah Kotla stadium in Delhi. Both teams would be desperate for a win following a series of defeats. Delhi have lost 2 consecutive games while Kolkata lost 4 on the trot.

Delhi will be playing their third consecutive game at the Ferozshah Kotla but would like to change their fortunes this time round. Delhi looks solid on paper and were considered as one of the favourites to win the title, but somehow things are not looking good for Delhi.

They have tried various combinations, but none of it has clicked. Captain Kevin Pietersen, who did not play few of their initial matches of the league due to an injury hasn't been the kind of influence the franchise had expected. Quinton de Kock has looked in sublime touch and has played well in the opportunities given to him.

Looking at JP Duminy batting exploit in the tournament so far, he has to come up the order if Delhi wishes to score more runs. Delhi's bowlers have looked decent, which includes Mohammed Shami, Shahbaz Nadeem, Jaidev Unadkat and Wayne Parnell. They definitely miss the services of Nathan Coulter-Nile.

Kolkata, on the other hand, have more worries. They have lost 4 consecutive games and would be desperate for a win in their bag. In their last match against Rajasthan, they were over complacent and lost a game, which they should have won. Kolkata has a decent side, but luck does not seem to be on their side.

The exclusion of Jacques Kallis for Ryan ten Doeschate was a bit of a surprise as the veteran had looked in good form. Gautam Gambhir's innings was a postitive thing for KKR, as he scored a half-century and looked good at the crease. Bowling has been excellent with Sunil Narine leading their attack, troubling batsmen with his guile and variety. An interesting game seems to be on the cards, as both teams are desperate for a win.
