Royal Challengers Bangalore with their cent percent record takes on Kolkata Knight Riders later tonight at Sharjah with an objective of maintaining their unbeaten run. KKR with their well balanced unit could pose a huge threat to RCB, who have some big names in world cricket in both the batting and the bowling department.
It is the
batting line up of RCB, which is said to be one of the strongest in
the ongoing IPL
. In spite of Gayle's absence due to an injury, the
team comprises of some world
class batsmen, which includes Virat
Kohli, Yuvraj Singh
, AB de Villiers to name a few. The KKR bowlers
would have their job cut out, if these players deliver tonight, for
they can find the fence at will.
KKR would pin their hopes on Sunil Narine, who has been one of their
best performers, not only containing the batsmen but also taking key
wickets. If the RCB batsmen takes Narine to the cleanest as well,
then it is game over for KKR. In Kallis, Chawla, Morne Morkel, they
have a decent bowling line up, but they need Narine to fire. Their
batting line up, which includes Kallis, Gambhir, Uthappa, Yusuf
Pathan etc can as well trouble the RCB bowlers.
RCB bowlers to a
large extent depend on their fast bowlers to give them the much
needed break through. Mitchell Starc, Albie Morkel, Varun Aaron and
Ashok Dinda form the core of the bowling unit. The opening bowlers,
primarily Morkel and Starc with their height can create enough fear
amongst the KKR batsmen with the bounce they generate of the pitch.
edition of the IPL is in its initial stages and so much has already
happened. It is imperative for KKR to win the match, so as to not
lose too much points in the initial stages itself, else it might be
difficult for them to progress into the knock out stages.
