IPL 2018 match preview: SRH vs MI - Hyderabad aim for another victory at their fortress
Sunrisers Hyderabad, currently second on the points table, will face off with Mumbai Indians in their second contest of the season at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday.

While SRH dominated over RR with a nine-wicket victory at their home ground, Mumbai had a disappointing start against Chennai failing to open their account.

With the most dominant performance this season so far, Sunrisers had a near-perfect start, but the key will be in sustaining the momentum further.

In batting, if Shikhar Dhawan fires at the top, the job is done for the home team. Even his opening partner Wriddhiman Saha enjoys batting against Mumbai as his previous record shows. Untested this season, the power-packed middle order includes Yusuf Pathan, Manish Pandey, Shakib Al Hasan and Deepak Hooda, all of whom would be raring to have a go.

Leading the bowling department are Bhuvneshwar Kumar and off spinner Rashid Khan. Added to that is the mix of Siddharth Kaul, Shakib AL Hasan and Billy Stanlake. For Hyderabad, the icing on the cake is an exceptional ground fielding with them having saved at least 10-15 runs against Rajasthan.

While Mumbai batting has some big names like Rohit Sharma, Evin Lewis, Ishan Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya who provide depth to its batting, its young middle order has proved its prowess whenever the big names have failed.

Mumbai will look to stun the opponent with debutant Mayank Markende, filling in the void for the lack of a spinner in their ranks. Markende bagging three wickets in the opening fixture makes him the second most wicket taker on the list so far.

Both the teams stack equally when it comes to head-to-head stats so far in the competition, with 5 wins each.
