IPL 2018 match preview: Who will win, KKR or SRH?
After a dream start to their IPL 2018 campaign, Kolkata Knight Riders head to their home turf, the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on Saturday evening, to ward off memoirs of their previous loss against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their second fixture, as they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad tonight.

In a thrilling encounter, Dinesh Karthik-led KKR had last time, lost to CSK by five wickets. What was even more bothering was that KKR had posted a total of 202/6, which they failed to defend, all thanks to CSK batsmen Shane Watson, Sam Billings and MS Dhoni, who played brilliants knocks. Moreover, the loss can also be attributed to KKR's lacklustre bowling performance, especially in the death overs.

The pitch at the Eden Gardens is known to aid slow bowlers, so today's game would most likely be fought between spinners. The biggest problem for KKR in this IPL season has been R Vinay Kumar, who first conceded 16 runs in the first over and later, could not defend 17 runs in the last over against CSK.

However, what cannot be doubted are KKR's batting tactics of sending Sunil Narine ahead to annihilate the opposition with his quick-fire knocks. SRH would also be cautious of Russell, who on his day has the capability of decimating the rival team which is evident from his unbeaten knock of 88 against CSK.

On the other hand, the Sunrisers have had an easy going, having to chase a low total against the Rajasthan Royals. Shikhar Dhawan, after being dropped early on in the innings, remained not out till the end while Kane Williamson held the other end. This means that rest of their batting has remained untested.

On a wicket that aids spin, Shakib and Rashid could pose problems for the KKR batsmen. But, on the other hand, KKR has the home advantage. This game would be won by the team that is able to hold on to its nerves.
