IPL 2018: Singer Mika Singh to dedicate two songs to Salman Khan at the opening ceremony
Indian Premier League's (IPL) 11th edition kicks off on Saturday evening with a clash between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super King at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Following a two-year suspension from 2016 to 2017, the highly successful Chennai Super Kings franchise is back again along with the vibrant Rajasthan Royals. Both teams return after serving a two-year ban following betting allegations.

Led by MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings will take on the Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians today evening in the tournament opener. Apart from Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians have a good batting-line up with the likes of West Indian players Elvin Lewis and Kieron Pollard; and domestic cricketers Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Siddhesh Lad.

Veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh will this season turn out in CSK yellows instead of the usual blue jersey of the Mumbai Indians, which the fans are accustomed to seeing him in. After having served Mumbai for ten long years, Bhajji's ouster means that Mumbai's spin department will be left with inexperienced young Indian spinners Rahul Chahar, Anukul Roy; and Sri Lankan right-arm off break bowler Akila Dananjaya.

However, Chennai, on the other hand, has a more settled team having retained its core players MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and Suresh Raina.

Sharing the burden of the core players, Chennai also has talented and experienced players like Murali Vijay, Kedar Jadhav, South African cricketer Faf du Plessis and England's Sam Billings; Australian all-rounder Shane Watson and West Indian player Dwayne Bravo.

The cricket extravaganza will bear witness to a customary star-studded glamorous opening ceremony, in which Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan will set the stage on fire with his enticing dance moves. Giving him company on stage would be young star Varun Dhawan and Bollywood beauties Jacqueline Fernandez and Tamannaah Bhatia. Tamannaah is reportedly charging Rs 50 lakh for a 10-minute performance at the IPL opening ceremony.

Singer Mika Singh has tweeted that he would be dedicating two songs to Tiger Zinda Hai star Salman Khan, who was earlier today released on bail by a Jodhpur sessions court in the blackbuck poaching case, during his performance at the IPL 2018 opening ceremony.
