IPL 2019 match preview: RR will clash with Kings XI Punjab at home in pursuit of their second IPL title
Match number 4 of IPL 2019 kicks off at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium on March 25 between the home side Rajasthan Royals and the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

While the Royals haven't lifted the IPL trophy even once after their maiden win in the IPL opening season in 2008, KXIP had finished as runners-up in 2014 and made it to the semi-final in 2008.

The KXIP had started IPL 2018 with five wins from their first six matches but crashed out of the tournament after seven losses in their remaining eight games. The team had finished seventh in the points table last year.

All eyes would be focussed on Steve Smith, who makes a comeback for RR after facing ball tampering charges. He has been the team's most prolific scorer in the Indian Premier League with an average of 37.02 and an impressive strike rate of 131.70.

Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes are the most significant players for RR hailing from England, who are capable of winning games on their own. On paper RR looks a much settled squad.

On the other hand, KXIP have players like Chris Gayle, who can fire anytime.

The match takes place at Jaipur tonight. The two teams have clashed against each other on 17 occasions, out of which RR have won 10 matches. While KXIP had won six matches, one match was tied.

RR are a strong side playing at home and hence are the favourites in today's game.
