IPL 9 player auction: Once again Yuvraj Singh could be the most sought after cricketer
After a poor IPL 8 performance for the Delhi Daredevils, Yuvraj Singh, the star left handed bastman who once hit 6 sixes of six balls was told bye-bye by the GMR-owned franchise.

Yuvraj could only score 248 runs in 14 matches at an average under 20. But after his recall to play for Team India in the recently concluded three match T20 series in Australia, Yuvraj Singh may once again find himself in great demand during IPL 9's player auction.

The recall was the result of a strong performance by Yuvraj Singh in Vijay Hazare Trophy for Punjab. In Australia Yuvraj did not get the chance to bat in the first two matches. But with a flat-batted six off Andrew Tye in the final over in the final game, he showed that still he can do a lot in this shorter version of the game.

With the ball, he struck in the first two matches with the big wicket of Glenn Maxwell both times, and one sharp catch at extra cover was proof of what he brings to the field - at least in the circle as a catcher.

Yuvraj, 34, was released by the Delhi Daredevils who had paid a whopping Rs 16 crore for him.

After getting the call from Team India, and the fact that he may also be the part of the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 to be played in India in March, there are huge chances that he is going to be one of the most sought after cricketers during the auction of around 351 players to play in IPL 9.
