Benchmark technology company Apple has announced that its iPod and iNano brands will now be available at new prices, and will offer new features. The smart applications giant will aim to keep users interested and attract new ones.

THE UPGRADED iPad Nano is priced at Rs 8,900 and has an imporved user interface, which has been re-designed, has 16 new digital clock faces and better fitness features. The iPod Touch will now be available in both black and white colours and its pricing will start at Rs 13,500.

Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing Philip Schiller in a press release said that, “iPod has revolutionized the way we listen to music and with over 320 million sold is the world’s most popular music player. iPod touch, now available in both black and white, is the best selling iPod ever, and with iOS 5 and iCloud it is better than ever.”

As far as the operating system is concerned Apple's iOS 5 update for iPod Touch will now make possible features such as iMessage, Game Center, Notifications and Wi-Fi Syncing to iTunes. The improved iPod Touch is compatible with iCloud, Apple’s free cloud services, which will be available after October 12. The new operating system has larger icons for better navigation of its Multi-Touch user interface, and a user can choose from 16 new digital clock faces - from classic analog to Disney characters.
