Is all well at Narendra Modi's front?
Last week, in the latest Gujarat University polls, the NSUI ? the Congress Party's student's wing won six out of eight seats. BJP's student wing Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) managed to win the paltry two seats. Party vice president Rahul Gandhi conveyed his best wishes to them at party office.

The Congress Party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said that the victory of NSUI in Gujarat University elections coming after a similar result in MS University Students Union (MSUSU) in Vadodara shows that the Congress youth wing won the polls despite full state support to BJP's student wing in these polls.

"This is not a flash in the pan. It is very significant. A person, who has not been able to keep his own house in order is going across the nation claiming a wave for himself. People of the nation cannot be misled," he said reportedly.

And now this is what the Iron Lady of UP Mayawati has said about the bright prospects on Narendra Modi and BJP in coming Lok Sabha polls, "Narendra Modi ran a corrupt government in Gujarat and his party BJP stood for too mmkuch of sin."

She ruled out any alliance between her party and BJP after the Lok Sabha elections. According to the powerful Dalit leader, "We will do everything possible to stall the BJP from coming to power. Why should we only think of supporting others? We can try to become the Centre of power and force others to support us. Modi's allegations on corruption in our government are wrong.

She added, "Modi's government in Gujarat is the most corrupt. They did not appoint a Lokayukta there. And what about the corruption in Karnataka under BS Yeddyurappa? Why is Modi silent on that?"

Alleging that the BJP was playing a "fixed match" with the ruling Samajwadi Party in UP, Mayawati said, "(SP chief) Mulayam Singh and Modi are two sides of the same coin. Both are communal and instigate communal violence. The SP and BJP have done match fixing to influence voters. Muslims need to understand their real face," she said.

Rapping Samajwadi Party she said, "Muslims are the worst sufferers in the present SP government. There have been so many riots under this government."

This citizen journalist has witnessed the last rally of Mayawati and the latest NaMo's at Lucknow. BJP had deployed more than 35 reserved trains, thousand of buses and motorcycles and massive pre-rally paraphernalia but failed to match the Maya's magic and crowd.

The funny part and irony of campaign is that while in Mumbai, Nitin Gadkari, the Ex-President of BJP, was trying to wean away Raj Thackrey and convince him about the futility of MNS participation in Lok Sabha elections, in Bihar, BJP President Rajnath was offering Laddu to Ramvilas Paswan for coming into the NDA fold.

All prominent leaders of Bihar BJP didn't participate in Modi's rally as a token of protest against Paswan's opportunistic alliance with BJP. It has swallowed all the insults Paswan has heaped upon BJP in past but how could the BJP justify the friendship with MNS, a party known for beating the Biharis in Mumbai. Raj's threats and insults of Biharis is very fresh in the memory of north Indians and country.

So, while there are still time for reveries for those who want to enjoy, they should also know all that glitters is not gold. BJP would also learn these lessons in few weeks.
