Is Apple unveiling iPad 3 in the March 7 media event?
Apple is expected to unveil the iPad 3 during the major media event being held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on Wednesday, March 7.

RUMOURS ARE doing rounds over the web that technology giant Apple is expected to unveil the iPad 3 during a major media event, being held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on Wednesday, March 7. Apple has sent media invitations for the event with the tagline on the invitation "We have something you really have to see. And touch."


If the rumour is to be believed, the third generation of Apple iPad will likely be launched with many upgrades. Cupertino, California based company first introduced iPad in April 2010 by the then CEO and tech giant late Steve Jobs. After the success of iPad, the next generation iPad 2 rolled out in March 2011 and it created history. Company has sold about 40 million units globally since its launch.

According to a report published on "The Washington Post", the next generation of iPad will have a retina display, better cameras, and the inclusion of LTE 4G chips. Report also suggested that iPad 3 will be slightly thicker and it will offer a new quad-core A6 processor. According to a report published in "The Economic Times", Siri artificial intelligence assistant software will be available on the iPad.

Many blogs have also reported that the iPad 3 will come with 16, 32 and 64 GB storage options, the same as the iPad 2. Apple media event considered as the most anticipated launch event among the media and tech lovers.
