IF REPORTS are to be believed, technology giant Apple is going to unveil the next edition of Apple’s iPad in late January. According to DigiTimes, at the iWorld, which is schedule from January 26 -28, Apple will unveil iPad in two versions and it will compete directly with Amazon's kindle Fire.

According to the report, Apple's both new iPads will feature 9.7-inch screens come with QXGA resolution (1,536x2,048 pixels), dual LED light bars to strengthen the brightness of the panels. Report also said that in the latest iPad, one version will have a 5-megapixel camera from Samsung and another will have an 8-megapixel lens supplied by Sony. The new iPads will have quad-core A6 processors, instead of the dual-core A5 in the existing iPad 2. Reports also suggested that in the new iPads, a 14,000 milliampere-hour (mAh) will be used.
According to DigiTimes portal, the new models of the Cupertino California-based company will join the existing iPad 2 to demonstrate Apple's complete iPad series targeting the entry-level, mid-range and high-end market segments. Apple founder late Steve Jobs unveiled the iPad2 on March 2, 2011 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.
Since the death of Apple's founder and CEO Steve Jobs on October 5, Apple has not unveiled any product. Meanwhile, just a day before his death, the company announced the iPhone 4S. Apple is also expected to come up with 32 and 37-inch iTV in the summer of 2012.
