Suarez has been one of the most controversial players in the EPL ever since he started to play in Liverpool colours. He has been booed by fans all over England; referees claim that the player goes down too easily, but still the player amidst all these has really showed his class by helping Liverpool in the top 10 positions of the EPL standings. Had the player not been in such form, Liverpool could have been in the lower half of the table. Out of the 27 goals scored by Liverpool this season, Suarez’s share is 11.
The Liverpool star has single-handedly carried the team on his shoulders, as at present, he is the lone striker of the team with Fabio Borini, another striker down with injury. It is not an easy task to burden the shoulders of such a prestigious club like Liverpool , especially when the player has do that every weekend apart from other competitions such as Europa League, Carling cup etc. Still, the player goes on playing his game without any complaints and the player gives his all irrespective of the magnitude of the match.
What makes the player one of the best strikers in the EPL at present is his street smart moves and turns and his intelligence with the ball on his feet, which bamboozles defenders and the player thus makes the defenders look foolish. Many claim him to be selfish as well, but what do you do when his teammates fail to score when he sets up goal scoring chances for them. So, he tries to create a goal for himself, where he sometimes succeeds and sometimes fails as well. It is a part and parcel for any striker.
He does not have great players to provide him ball through the middle, only Steven Gerrard, in spite of age catching up is a quality midfielder who can provide him the best goal scoring chances through his threading passes. Gerrard to be fair is past his prime and one would not get to see the Gerrard of old. But, when we look at Chelsea, they have best midfielders such as Hazard, Mata and Oscar to assist Torres score. Van Persie has players like Valencia, Young, Rooney and Giggs to supply ball and Manchester City has players such as Silva, Yaya Toure and Nasri to supply ball to Tevez and Aguero. But, Suarez has to do all things by himself more often, as he plays for Liverpool football club, which does not possess quality players like other clubs.
