Is women's reservation bill a way to empowerment ?
Respecting women is not bad at any place, but seating them in parliament without any abilities is equal to destroying the structures of democracy. In India when a woman gets power formally, male members of the family exercise her powers.
I DON’T know whether our women politicians will succeed or not. But, in my view, a seat in parliament doesn’t necessarily empower women, but education and law definitely does. If the reservation comes into existence, all losers will start playing game behind the screen. We have to make our Indian women enough strong by introducing stringent laws and by introducing education for all instead of reservation.

Women are coming up in every sphere and let them put a brave fight in politics as well. Many women have done it and they can do it. I strongly believe if we really want to progress and become a world power, all reservations should be ended. A country that had a woman Prime Minister like Indira Gandhi for almost 17 years need not have any reservation for women. Being a woman, I think this is an insult to educated women. These all are politicians’ vested interests. They talk about reservation in parliament, but, they don’t have reservation in their own party.

Respecting women is not bad at any place, but seating them in parliament without any abilities is equal to destroying the structures of democracy. In India when a woman gets power formally, male members of the family exercise her powers.

She becomes only a stamp signature, the males take all the decisions. Lalu Yadav acting on behalf of his wife Rabri Devi is not only one example, it is happening all over India in case of women panchayats.

Instead of attempting to put women on an equal footing with men, it is actually segregating them for ever.

.i agree with u that mere giving reservation wil not ensure empowerment but abolishing reservation is no solution .If we trace the history of indian women's politics we will find most of them coming to the front due to some political connections.
.sorry but i dont agree with u . agar indira gindhi pt. nehru ki beti nahi hoti to vo kabhi bhi p.m. nahi ban pati bavjood iske ki vo ek vilakhad pratiba vali mahia thi .kya aap bata sakti h k unke bad se ab tak koi mahila p.m kyo nahi bani .our sambhavana bani to again sonia gandhi ki hi .ye alag bat h ki unhone banana manjoor nahi kiya.kyoni itne sallo se na to mahilaon ko mauka nahi mila isliye vo apno ko sabit nahi kar saki.iski sambhava jaroor h ki kai mamlo me vo kevel raber stamp hongi per adhikar milne per unme chetna avasya ayegi.
.There should be no reservation of any kind. Let hardworking, qualified and honest people come ahead.
.Womens reservation bill is an important milestone and will change a lot of future equations in the democratic traditions of Mordern India. This is the only way to break the hold of Caste Politics currently calling all shots in the Parliament of India. There should be no way back now. Regards and God bless Viren Naik
