ISBF students Hosts 'Xenia 2012' to prepare students for competitions
A cultural extravaganza engaging the entire student community of Delhi University was organised to provide a platform beyond the four walls of a classroom in Lajpat Nagar. According to organisers, such events will prepare students for the competitive world.

‘AIRTEL XENIA 2012,’ the annual fest of Indian School of Business & Finance was organized in the Lajpat Nagar. The event got an overwhelming response with 2000 students from more than 30 leading University Colleges from Delhi and NCR like St. Stephens, SRCC, Lady Shri Ram College, and many others participated in various academic and cultural contests with full vigour and enthusiasm.

Xenia means ‘gift to the visitors’ and what it really gifted to the its huge set of student community was, a benchmark of quality for organizing a festival and the setting of the highest standards at events – that included a number of mind stimulating competitions like Business Plan, Debating, Rags-to-Riches, Ad Mad etc, while skill events include Western Dance, Face Painting, Poster Making, Logo Design, etc.

The program commenced with lamp lighting by Dr. Jitin Chadha, Director, Indian School of Business & Finance. Charushilla Narula, Head, Student Affairs at ISBF said on the occasion, “The objective of such festivals is to provide a platform to students to come out of the four walls of the classrooms and showcase their skills and abilities. Through such inter-college competitions, the students teach and learn from one another. Such activities are given at ISBF and as has been the common feedback from the judges and students at the fest, the quality benchmarks that have been set during Xenia 2012 are unprecedented. I have seen leaders emerge and students becoming professionals during the making of this event. What better to prepare them for the competitive world outside?”
