ISI agent Shamshul Hoda, the man behind Kanpur train accident, arrested in Nepal
Alleged ISI agent Shamshul Hoda, who is wanted by the Indian security agencies for his involvement in series of train accidents that had recently taken place in the country, has been arrested by the Nepal Police.

According to India's National Investigation Agency (NIA), Hoda was allegedly responsible for the Kanpur train accident in November in which 150 people were killed after 14 coaches of Indore-Patna Express had derailed.

Hoda was arrested after he was deported by Dubai on Saturday. The Indian security agencies have found proofs of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI's involvement in various train accidents that had happened recently.

Hoda's name was also taken by three men arrested by the Bihar Police who allegedly tried to detonate an IED on the tracks in East Champaran, but failed.

The three accused namely Moti Paswan, Uma Shankar Patel and Mukesh Yadav  were recruited by Nepal-based Brij Kishore Giri, who was in touch with Shamshul Hoda. Giri is also under arrest in Nepal.

Reportedly, Hoda had asked Giri to recruit people from Motihari to carry out ISI sponsored operations in India to cause train derailments. When they failed, Hoda also ordered their killings.

Apart from Hoda, allegedly a Karachi-based ISI agent Shafi Shaikh was also involved in the entire conspiracy against the Indian Railways.
