Israelis spooked out: 'Carry a gun' under pillow is lunacy
Gun under the pillow seems like an over-reaction - after all you can't carry a pillow with you everywhere. Israelis, as such seem to be guilty of getting spooked out before investigations are over and one wouldn't be shocked to hear that an Israeli diplomat fires his gun at his wife, fearing her as a terrorist during the dark of night.

ONLY IF they haven’t planned more deadly attacks on their citizens, Israeli security experts wouldn’t be so dead sure that they will ask their diplomats to ‘sleep with a gun and a flashlight under their pillow’.  Even before a trace of Iran’s hand is found behind the bomb attacks, which injured a diplomat’s wife as her car caught fire in a ‘terrorist attack’, Israel has created massive hysteria and blamed Iran for the attack.

Even before the initial investigations are completed, Israel is getting its citizens spooked out by asking them to remain alert to survive any terrorist attacks. Immediately after the attacks in New Delhi and Tbilisi, Israeli’s diplomats were asked by security grid to travel in taxis and avoid travelling in their official cars.

Indian investigative agencies have not found any trace of an Iranian hand in the attack during the initial investigations. Mossad, one of the best intelligence agencies in the world, reacted only after the attacks and the Israeli leadership including the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed Iran for the attacks, without even wasting a second. One would have believed that Israel, as claimed in the past got the intelligence inputs of the blasts before they could even be executed. But here, shockingly, that was not the case.

According to Hindustan Times, a former official of Israeli’s internal security agency Shin Bet, Nimrod Firstenberg bluntly warned Israelis to be extra vigilant and careful. “Sleep with a gun and flashlight under your pillow,” he advised.

Not only the diplomats, even the kids have been warned to stay alert and the main reason quoted for the extra precautions is the New Delhi attack, botched up bomb attack in Georgia and Tuesday’s blasts in Bangkok in which an Iranian was injured.

Now the statements from the administration and the security agencies has created a sense of fear among the Israeli diplomats and one wouldn’t be surprised if they shoot some of their family members in the dark of night with the gun under their pillow, fearing them as ‘Iranian terrorists’.
